Overall

Overall the portfolio has done well. The parts that are in cash earn about 5% / year and the rest is invested in a set of stocks that are generally doing well. Note that a significant component of the growth is additional investment and this explains the largest component of the recent jump.

Stocks On Watch

  • Portfolio One – none
  • Portfolio Two – Mosaic (MOS) – down with price of fertilizer but decent bet to recover
  • Portfolio Three – none
  • Portfolio Four – none
  • Portfolio Five – Devon (DVN) has frustratingly gone down even with lots of profits and a high dividend. OKTA (OKTA) has gone from high flyer to about flat over the last 5 years. We bought TESLA (TSLA) recently and it has fallen from highs
  • Portfolio Six – Unilever (UL) is a well run goods company but can’t seem to gain in their stock price over many years
  • Portfolio Seven – Nike (NKE) has had a stagnant price recently even with profits and high sales. Tesla (TSLA) is down from recent highs, and Unilever (UL) is OK but not seeming to grow
  • Portfolio Eight – Still have Paypal (PYPL) which has been in a prolonged rut. Probably time to sell. Nike (NKE) and Tesla (TSLA) bought near high
